Business brokerage is an exciting and rewarding profession.  It provides the opportunity to help people sell their business that they have worked hard to build and is usually their biggest financial asset.  It also allows you to help people achieve the dream of owning their own business.

The brokerage business allows you to be an independent business person with an income potential that is open-ended, and it offers an excellent lifestyle.  However, it also requires hard work, discipline, the ability to work with people, a desire to help them - all coupled with a willingness to learn.  

If you are considering the business brokerage profession there are some resources that can be helpful.  The more you learn about it, the better equipped you will be to decide if it is a career worth considering.  

The members of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) stand ready to answer any questions about the profession.  The Association also conducts two Educational Conferences annually.  These can be provide you with an opportunity to attend educational courses and to visit with experienced business brokers and intermediaries.
